What a day! The pure technology group’s first quarter has come to a close, and what a tremendous quarter it has been.
On Saturday the 15th of September, 72 members of staff travelled to Camp Hill Estate for the Group’s annual purefun day. The day started out with a Quarterly Briefing, where a number of exciting announcements were made around the Group’s growth, development and acquisitions. This was then followed by some team-building activities designed to encourage teamwork with staff across different sites.
Since the last quarter, PTG has welcomed 8 new starters to the Leeds, London and Wakefield offices. The teams are always growing and are always on the lookout for new talent, check out the careers page for the most current vacancies.
It was also announced that the Group closed its 2017/18 financial year with the highest turnover to date. This follows 11 years of consistent growth, and this year experiencing the biggest growth in revenue so far.
The group was also extremely proud to announce that further technical accreditations were attained, these included Barracuda Next generation Firewall, Microsoft 70-740 Installation, Storage and Compute with Windows Server 2016, HP Sales Certified and Personal Systems 2018, Mimecast End User Technical Specialist and Gateway Technical Specialist and Professional.
The leadership team also announced the introduction of subsidised gym memberships for staff in aid of promoting a healthier lifestyle.
After the Quarterly Briefing and a few bacon butties, the Group split into 10 teams and went off to compete for the purefun day championship title of 2018. The 5 activities of the day included: Last man standing, Segway racing, Quad Olympics, Clay pigeon shooting and Gemini buggies. Take a look at what the team got up to here.
The day closed with a much-deserved pint and a barbeque and all in all, it was an incredibly rewarding day packed full of team-building activities and festivities. Until next year…
