Innovation is at the forefront of pt18. This year you’ll get exclusive insight on industry leading technology, see presentations from 3 key global partners and experience talks from our guest speakers Jamie Bartlett and Will Greenwood.


Like last year, you can expect to get hands-on with the latest in AR/VR technologies, as well as experience some of the up-coming automation technologies from the EV (Electric Vehicle) market leaders.

  • Jamie Bartlett guest speaker Author of the factual bestseller 'The Dark Net', journalist and an engaging TED speaker, Jamie Bartlett lights up the hidden corners of the internet to reveal the strange subcultures and protagonists that inhabit it – from Bitcoin miners to neo-Nazis. His areas of expertise range from internet culture and ‘The Dark Net’, social media research ethics, cryptocurrency and the reform to RIPA 2000.
  • Will Greenwood guest speaker With a professional career that spanned 11 years and 55 international caps will established a reputation as an unsurpassed mid-field creator. He was an integral part of England’s victorious World Cup campaign of 2003, a character and leader in one of the most successful team dynamics seen in recent times. His business credentials are equally impressive.
  • Sarah Shields DellEMC Sarah Shields is one of the leading female businesswomen in the UK. Sarah has been at Dell EMC since 2008 and has traversed through the company's consumer, retail, small business and now channel organisations. A strong track record of success, growth and strong leadership, Sarah is known for her sharp thinking, sense of humour and drive for success.
  • David & Liam mimecast David and Liam have been members of the Mimecast Channel Team for over 3 years, focused on developing the relationship between Mimecast and MSP's and developing new security solutions. The duo will take the stage to discuss the evolving threat landscape, what can be done to secure the future of IT and talk about how mimecast can assist in the design and architecture of solutions that help keep customer's safe.
  • Neil Sawyer HP Neil Sawyer leads the UK&I Channel for HP in the UK. sales Responsible for all aspects of HP's Printing, Personal Systems, Mobility and Software Solutions portfolio as well as Distribution, Corporate SI’s, ISV’s and the SME/Education reseller channel, Neil also carries the revenue responsibility for the Education and Mid-Market End User Sales team.

what to expect at pt18.
  • AI.
    AI changes the world. There is no doubt that digital applications are becoming increasingly complex and capable. In the USA, AI is already being used to fashion legal documents, doctors are using AI for diagnosis and treatment. Whether the digital assistant is called Alexa, Cortana or Siri, a measure of AI is always involved. At pt18 visitors can see how the unlimited opportunities offered by AI translate into new business.
  • Augmented and Virtual Reality.
    By 2018, the total number of active virtual reality users is expected to reach 171 million. Revenue generated from virtual reality products worldwide is forecast to reach £4 billion by that time. In less than 10 years, the global market is expected to rival today’s market for PCs. And indeed, there appear to be no limits on the commercial benefits attached to using VR. pt18 will feature the latest innovations in Augmented and Virtual Reality.
  • Blockchain.
    2017 was an exciting year for Blockchain. Today, we see adopters in business environments in nearly every industry, ranging from financial and banking, through to manufacturing and supply chain all the way to intellectual property, healthcare or real estate. At pt18 you’ll see not only see the disruptive potential of Blockchain, but some of the latest currencies and applications using this decentralised and forgery-proof database.
  • Drones.
    Until just a few years ago, drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) were restricted to military use. Today they’re a mass phenomenon. Controlled via smartphone and equipped with high-resolution cameras, they have applications for business as well as personal use. The potential is huge – and is likely to grow at a rapid pace.   • Hyperconvergence.
    IT infrastructure has previously relied on interoperability between network, compute, storage and control but this approach adds complexity and cost. A converged design can reduce recurring costs for power, cooling and space whilst making support much easier through a ‘single pane of glass’.
